Our Fourth Birthday :: RSMB Team Dinner at Kalurah Street Grill

Disclosure :: Kalurah Street Grill hosted a lovely dinner for our team and we are very thankful to them for having us.

Last week, our team got to spend some time together at Kalurah Street Grill for dinner before the holidays really kick off! We had so much to celebrate in honor of Red Stick Moms Blog’s 4th birthday! We have had many successes this past year with content, connecting with local families, growth of the blog family and our exciting events. As a team, we collectively put in hard work to bring our community personal stories to share from the heart that foster online connection and events that foster in-person connection. Our team is truly the beating heart of operating Red Stick Moms Blog and any chance that we can get to spend time together, share ideas and get spoiled is always welcomed!

We want to thank Kalurah Street Grill for hosting us at their beautiful restaurant. When you walk in, you are met with an atmosphere that is both warm and inviting. Everything from the bar area to the enticing wine wall and dining area is very sophisticated. We were so excited to see what Chef Kelley McCann was going to whip up for the evening! We were treated to tastings of a little bit of this and that which included ceviche, sauteed peppers, meat pies and more! Be sure to check out their popular wine dinners for an awesome date night idea OR book a reservation to take the family out for a lovely dinner. Not sure that you want a full dinner? No worries! They have you covered with an awesome lounge with comfortable seating adjacent to the restaurant called The Annex, where you can enjoy adult beverages and a classy bar menu.

We would also love to thank the following businesses for providing some special goodies for our amazing team of moms to take home! Thank you to :: SugarPlum Monograms, Laalee Designs, Bella Grace Paper and Gifts, Avec Tous Spice Company, L’Amour Louisiane BathThe Blue Rose Cafe and Bakery, be MIXED and 13 and Market. We have enjoyed every single thing and highly recommend you check these brands out for holiday gifts!

Ericka P.
Ericka is originally a New Orleans gal who was raised to begin many dishes with a roux. Since 2011, she has happily embraced the Red Stick life with her husband of seven years, Tyler. Although she met her husband at an LSU game after her car broke down, they both attended Northwestern State University where she graduated with a Business Administration degree. After graduation, she and Tyler took a leap of faith and tied the knot. She dabbled in the corporate scene but eventually returned to school to pursue her passion for teaching and earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught at an inner-city school in Baton Rouge for 3 years where she gained a family of students and colleagues alike. She’s traded in her beloved Expo pens and clipboard to stay home with her sweet and adventurous one-year-old son, Cullen. She is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the sisterhood of fellow moms. Motherhood has been the best roller coaster she’s ever been on and even at the most challenging times, she tries to remember to embrace the chaos and “bless this mess” mentality. Ericka loves a good conversation, coffee, empowering other women {because we can all use a little encouragement}, laughing, baking and making memories with her family.
