Top 5 Mom Christmas Gifts

If you are looking to purchase something for the mom friend in your life, here are some things all moms secretly want this holiday season.

Power Cords

Give a girl a spare phone charger. Maybe one of those traveling battery packs too. Oh, and a phone charger for the car while you’re at it. Make it a three pack. And if she is a mom to anyone 7 years or older, double it. This can help prevent the “talk fast my phones about to die” syndrome. You don’t know what I’m talking about? Call one of your mom friends …

Sunglasses

Nothing fancy. Think trade show freebies or swag bags from races. No mom ever has sunglasses when they need them WHERE they need them. And fancy ones will just get broken anyway. Similar to the power cords, quantity COUNTS. Oh, and the brighter the color the better. You can always spot those cheapos with the neon green frames in a mom bag, no issue!

Not Magazine Subscriptions

Let’s be honest. Every year I ask for a new magazine subscription. I THINK and assume I will read them. I always tuck them away on work trips. Nope. I’m pretty sure my 3 year old has perused more pages of “Southern Living” than I have in the past year … Do your mom friends a favor. If they ASK for a magazine subscription, just download a bunch of podcasts to their phone instead.

Emergen-C

In bulk. Go to Costco. They sell them in mega packs. Bonus points if you get the raspberry flavor to shake things up. Why you ask? Cause no mom has time to be sick. This is you showing you care. And it means YOU might not get sick either! Really it’s a win win!

A Really Nice Gift Card … AND Babysitting

A really nice gift card to do something she probably can’t take the time to do AND the babysitting to go with it. If you want to buy a mom friend a massage gift card or a manicure gift card … go for it. BUT only if you offer to watch her kids while she goes. There is nothing worse than getting a gift you can’t enjoy, amirite?! Sure, splurge on a spa day gift card and then offer to take the kids so she can ENJOY the spa day.

As you think about what to get your mom friends this holiday season, I hope this can help steer you along the way. Also, none of this is applicable to significant others.
