You NEED a Travel Agent

Let me tell you a little story about a botched Disney trip. I scheduled it the wrong week. Yep, my husband was not off work. Kids were not out of school. I planned it the completely wrong week. I messaged my Disney planner in a panic. All was resolved with no fuss. It was then that I realized I would never plan another trip without a travel agent. Here’s why …

There is no additional cost!

I will repeat that again for those in the back seats, NO ADDITIONAL COST. In fact, I would argue my trips cost less because I have the expertise of the planner to get me the best deal, best reservations, best everything with the most bang for my ever shrinking buck.

Your own personal fixer.

Something going wrong? Planned it the wrong date? No worries, your agent is there to set it straight and fix things. My favorite thing is the expertise my agent offers to predict anything that could go wrong and proactively deal with it.

DISCOUNTS

Anyone else feel like all family vacations should take place in a tent outside? I truly believe that my spouse and I should be taking regular “honeymoons.” If I didn’t get the best family deal, we would never be able to do this. I love wandering around the country, my agent makes sure that I am able to do it at the best possible cost.

Insight and Expertise

Do you ever wish you knew exactly what to do or better yet, exactly who to contact at resorts, excursions, restaurants, etc? Maybe you don’t know how you will fit all the different desires and personalities into one vacation. I have loved that I can call up my girl and tell her all about my family, because if you know me, you now I LOVE TO TALK ABOUT MY KIDS (and HUBS). She takes all the intel and has the best recommendations for me, knows who to call to get it reserved.

Moral of the story. Mama, just worry about if you packed that extra pair of twenty clothes because inevitably your toddler will need it. Go on vacation, enjoy your family, and just keep your agent on speed dial.

Whitney
Whitney is a born and raised Louisianian. Her passions lie in playground sports, keeping a messy home (much to the dismay of the husband), drinking lots of caffeine, dancing in the kitchen, getting (well trying to get) her booty in shape, and making people smile. She devotes her time to three things that fall very close to her heart: her little family, her weenie pup, and the urge to never stop creating. She married to a gentlemen that is her opposite. He though a pilot, is firmly grounded while she spends most of her time with her head in the clouds. She is a step-mom and mom of two girls, and finds motherhood is a bizarre dichotomy of grace and chaos. As a family they make life work with amazingly creative grilled cheese sandwiches, streamers, Steen's Syrup, and maybe a bubble bath. Each day she chases paper rainbows and lives the southern narrative.
