Simple, fast, easy: that is what so many moms strive for on a daily basis. Whether it's diaper changes or dinner arrangements, we just want to get the "chores" done quickly so there is time for the fun and joy of LIFE! The last time we introduced you to Indie Plate, the new online grocery store and delivery service for the Baton Rouge area, it was clear that their goal was to make life simpler in the grocery department.  When they asked us to try out their service to plan and cater our next contributor meeting, we were all for giving it a try. Could a dinner party be simplified when it comes to feeding 10+ people?? We...
Do you remember when you were in middle school and, like, the best thing ever was to be invited to another girl's house for a sleepover?  I used to LIVE for these nights.  There was just something so great and exhilarating about being in a room with six or seven of my closest pals, eating foods that were never allowed any other day of the week, telling our deepest secrets, and laughing until our stomachs hurt.  Girls nights were, to put it simply, just fun! I crave nights like this, but without the Truth or Dare and the mean pranks.  If you are looking to have a night of fun with all of your favorite girlfriends, why not think like...
When my husband and I were first married, we "dated" each other all of the time.  Whether we rented movies, cooked a nice dinner, or went to a concert, we definitely enjoyed our time together. Sadly, not everyone has the funds to get a sitter often, even on Valentine's Day, and usually less people have the opportunity to call family members to come babysit while you and your spouse venture out into a night on the town.  But that doesn't mean that you can't celebrate with your love! Valentine's Day snuck up on Joel and I last year, and instead of getting down about not getting a babysitter and planning some romantic adventure, we just went with it.  So this got me thinking that many of you probably don't have any grand plans for the big heart day either (but if you do, then yay! ) - but for those of you who don't, let's...

Couch Adventures

These cold and rainy days are seemingly endless. If your little one is like mine, then you have untamable energy resulting in broken Christmas presents and an aggravated mommy. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a lazy-to-the-core person who calls a cold or rainy day paired with a hot bowl of soupy goodness and a good book a win. However, this is not what my two year old deems fun or entertaining.  In an effort to either kick your lazy butts off the couch or get your rambunctious littles on it, here are six couch adventures that will have the whole family laughing, playing, and making memories on those cooped up winter days. 1. Couch Fort – Build a fort out...
