City Nature Challenge

May 1

Visit the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens to make observations for the City Nature Challenge! Louisiana Master Naturalists will be on site near the visitor information area plus the Barton Arboretum to answer questions about iNaturalist and nature from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The City Nature Challenge is 4 days long, so you can contribute to the contest after you get home, too!

About the City Nature Challenge:
The greater Baton Rouge region will be competing in the 2021 City Nature Challenge, April 30 – May 3, along with more than 350 cities around the world. Which city can share the most photos of wildlife on the iNaturalist app or at iNaturalist.org in 4 days?
Any observations made in these parishes April 30 – May 3 will automatically count toward the challenge: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, Tangipahoa, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.
