Spend the summer making music, new friends, and super fun memories at Baton Rouge Music Studios’ Young Band Nation™ Music Camps. Whether your kids just love music and being creative, or they are serious about making music with like-minded young musicians, our summer day camp offers something fun and educational for them all summer long. Kid Possible Summer Camp
This summer your child will be tasked with the most challenging task yet. Have the most fun possible in one summer! Kid-Possible Summer Camps run for ten weeks from May 28 through August 2, 2019. Each week is theme oriented and campers will be on a mission to have an unforgettable summer. Throughout the week campers participate in art, science, and sports activities. Campers also participate in specialty activities including golf lessons and chess instruction as well as an action-packed field trip each week. Crawfish Swim School
Dive in to Summer Swimming at the Crawfish Swim School and enjoy professional swimming lessons driven by our proven curriculum, passionate instructors and intentional class placement. With the option to attend one class per week, you can easily attend lesson classes all summer while juggling all of your other family activities! With our indoor heated pool, we never rain out and parents will enjoy the conditioned & quiet viewing area. Our instructors are CPR-certified and skills are tracked to monitor student’s progress during each class. Splash & Play! at one of our weekly open swim events. Knock Knock Children's Museum
Spend the summer at Knock Knock Children’s Museum! Campers will be able to explore all of their interests in science, math, art, engineering, animation, and STEAM. Our youngest campers will be able to create science concoctions with the help of their parent or guardian at our Messy Science Exploration Camp. Campers who attend our DIY Camp will learn to solve everyday problems through activities like woodworking and cooking. If artistic exploration is more of your child’s interest, they can learn more about photography, sculpting, and storyboarding at our Create and Curate or Animation Camp. Spend a slice of summer at Dunham! Registration is now open for Dunham Summer Camp. Open to Dunham and non-Dunham students and conveniently located near Bluebonnet and Perkins Rowe, our summer opportunities include a traditional day camp as well as enrichment camps in arts, academics and athletics. Campers enjoy arts and crafts, weekly field trips, swimming, a giant waterslide, and much more!

YMCA of The Capital Area
The “best summer ever” is right around the corner and the YMCA is offering Summer camp to make sure kids and teens are adventurous, active and healthy this summer. YMCA camp programs offer youth fun and unique experiences with an opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime. Times are 7am until 6pm Monday – Friday.

Camp Istrouma is a beautiful 140 acre summer camp located outside of Baton Rouge. We offer a place where kids can come have a blast and also learn about Jesus. We have three different summer camp programs, Overnight Camp, Day Camp and L.I.T.E. (Leadership In Training Experience). Campers love our lake activities with The Blob, Zip-line, and Water Slide. Camp Ages and Costs :: Overnight Camp cost $400 for a week and ages range from 2nd-12th grade depending on the week, Day Camp cost $170 lunch included and is for 1st-6th graders, LITE Program is $100 a week and is for 9th-12th graders.
Give your child the gift of music this summer! Your child can have a fun, first-experience of playing piano in our beginners’ piano camps. This camp is perfect for children and teens with little or no experience. Students will learn introductory musical skills like music and rhythm reading, and also piano performance skills.

Baton Rouge Soccer Club
The BRSC Summer Camp aims to help develop players’ individual skills through learning exercises that utilize functional training games to teach individual techniques, skills and tactics through creative and motivating sessions. Our morning sessions focus on the individual skills of passing, dribbling, shooting, heading, attacking, defending and ball control. In the afternoon sessions we will build on technique and concentrate on the tactical aspects of soccer.

LSU Baseball Camp
LSU Baseball Summer Camp will offer daily instruction on position specific fundamentals- hitting, pitching, fielding, & base running. The camp will provide the best possible instruction for players of all ages and abilities in a structured, enthusiastic, fun environment. Campers will be taught through verbal instruction and visual demonstration, and also by taking part in instructional drills/games. Campers will be given quality instruction on how to play the game and how to improve themselves on and off the field!
Camp Ages :: Kindergarten through 8th Grade
Camp Costs :: Price varies based on session chosen. Mornings only are $299 per week, afternoon only $299 per week, full day $425 per week, overnight (4 to a room) $599, and overnight (2 to a room) $699. Prices are discounted for registration by May 1st.
Is your child passionate about music? Or just looking for a fun, new activity this summer? Join the Kids’ Orchestra Music Camp where campers learn how to play an instrument from local professional musicians in only a week. Campers also participate in summer fun, arts & crafts, a field trip, guest visits from professional musicians, an end-of-camp performance for friends and family, and much more! Camp offerings include a week of Strings, Winds, and Percussion (June 24-28) (1st-grade students that have completed one year of Kids’ Orchestra Foundations programming during the school year are eligible for select instrument offerings.) Times are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday – Friday with before care available from 7 – 8 a.m. (M-F $25 per child/per week) and after-care 5 – 6 p.m. (M-Th $20 per child/per week).

Children will be encouraged to participate in daily themes, and each camp will conclude with a celebration of the children’s hard work.
The kids will explore pottery, drawing, painting, and more. Each day will have an artist theme, accompanied by original artwork created by your favorite kiddo. Each kid will have a chance to throw on the wheel!
Cultivate your child’s creativity this summer at our weekly art camps. Children will experiment with a variety of mediums, all while learning art history and core art fundamentals in a fun and positive environment. They’ll leave with self-made masterpieces that reflect their unique personalities and new skills to apply to future projects.
CAREducation’s summer school program is mindfully designed within a balance between knowledge-enriching assignments and exciting project-based experiences, which are not normally feasible during the school semester. Students joining the program will be placed in appropriate groups, which help them review what they have learned during the previous grade level and also take a sneak peek at what they are going to learn during their upcoming grade level. The content of the two-month program centers around fundamental state standards for each K-12 grade level and is explored from an interdisciplinary perspective through tasks and exercises suitable for individuals but not without chances for collaboration across specific grade levels.
The Spanish Class is offering two types of programs this summer. One option is a Spanish, Art, and Music camp for children ages 3-10 were participants will learn Spanish through art and explore Latin American music with highly trained native Spanish speaking teachers. The second option is a High School Spanish Prep for children ages 11-15 for students who want to get ahead in their high school Spanish courses.
Nature Explorers Camp is all about getting your child outside to explore nature. The Basecamp is located at BREC’s Independence Activity Building next to the Goodwood Library. Baton Rouge’s premiere astronomy camp has been going strong for 20 years! Personnel present astronomical concepts in a fun and engaging manner, always including current NASA programs and celestial events. Each age group has unique crafting and investigatory activities and every session will have a field trip and a rocket launch. Rollin’ on the River! Journey down the Mississippi with Magnolia Mound’s hands-on history camp. This camp is for those young historians looking for a fun-filled week of learning about the past! This year will focus not only on early 19th century plantation life in Louisiana, but also the cultural impact of the mighty Mississippi River. Campers will explore Louisiana’s unique history and diverse cultures through historical crafts and activities. From open hearth cooking to weaving, campers will experience firsthand the folklore, customs, and crafts of the past. Two half-day field trips are included to expand the campers’ knowledge of museums in our area.
Our Summer Academy is five days of non-stop entertainment and learning that kids will love. From chipping, putting and full swing, to the rules and etiquette, kids will learn everything they need to know to improve their game. Summer Academy is staffed with a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure each Junior Golfer receives in-depth, hands-on attention while he or she develops a winning golf swing.
