All of my life, I have loved taking pictures. My husband and my three children inspire me everyday, and I know, with time passing by so quickly, I want to capture every moment. My decision to retire from my 20 year nursing career and become a full time photographer was finalized when my sister suddenly passed away at 39 years old, leaving behind 4 children…the youngest being only 2 at the time. It was then that I realized my calling for capturing connections amongst family. I had taken images of my sister with her newborn baby. The immediate connection between mother and daughter radiates through the portraits. These will be a lifelong treasure for her little girl to look back on…they are proof of just how much her mom loved her. My love of photography has expanded to my team which consists of my two daughters Whitney Verret and Katelyn Craven as well as Mercedes Rivet.

Malorie Sitar is an Ascension parish based photographer specializing in maternity, newborn and family portraits. Her residential studio is located in the Prairieville area, but she also offers on-location and in-home shoots. Malorie is a mother of three children and has a background as a Mother/Baby nurse which brings an added level of comfort to her handling your precious baby.
