St. Joseph’s
Academy

For 158 years, St. Joseph’s Academy has stood as a pillar of excellence in the Baton Rouge community. Founded in 1868 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, this premier Catholic high school for young women is a place where relationships are strengthened and young girls become women of faith, hope and love. Academy students grow in Catholic faith traditions through a comprehensive religious education program, liturgical rituals and service opportunities; become life-long learners through interaction with master teachers and mentors; and enjoy peer relationships and learn leadership skills in a variety of co-curricular activities.
In an all-girls’ learning environment, young women explore, learn and grow without fear of failure. They speak their mind, express themselves freely, ask questions, openly engage in the exchange of ideas and find their passion: academically, in athletics and co-curricular activities, in leadership roles, in the arts and in their faith life. They are challenged, inspired, encouraged and prepared for the 21st century world which awaits them.
We can’t wait to meet you. Girls in grades 6-8 and their families are invited to Open House 2026 on Thursday, October 15. Check back in the fall to register for your family’s timeslot.
We encourage you to call Admissions Director Meredith Smith at (225) 388-2243 for additional information.

St. Thomas More
Catholic School

St. Thomas More Catholic School proudly educates more than 500 students from PK3 through 8th grade with 64 dedicated staff members in a faith-filled environment. We believe in a well-rounded education, which sets the foundation for success, and in an academic focus, which teaches key concepts promoting success. Partnering academics with athletics, co-curricular activities, and fine arts is vital in helping students recognize their strengths and interests. Prayer is a significant part of the school day, along with special religious experiences that help students develop a deeper understanding and love of the Catholic faith. Prayer, religion curriculum, and paraliturgy experiences form the overall climate of the school.
We are excited to announce that we have established a St. Thomas More–based special education program that will be housed on our campus: ACCESS Special Education Program (Achieving Catholic Curriculum through Equity, Support, and Success), which serves students with exceptionalities. St. Luke's
Episcopal School

Since 1957, St. Luke’s Episcopal School has delivered high-quality education in a warm, sweet, loving environment for Pre-K3 through 8th grade students. Our school is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s name. Cross-grade-level buddies ensure that students of different ages come to know one another. St. Luke’s Early Childhood, lower and middle school, allows students to experience age-appropriate activities and events without the influence and pressure of older students. Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders are not “caught in the middle” but rather take on the leadership role of “seniors.” At the same time, they can be themselves, often remaining “younger” a bit longer and not as directly influenced by the social pressures common in high school. Furthermore, our emerging adolescents are given the nurturing support they need for a healthy, confident transition to the high school years.
