Hey Moms! Here are 6 Ideas for YOUR Wish List

I love giving gifts, the holidays, birthdays, special events. I’m so excited when I find the perfect gift for someone and at the same time I am often at a loss when someone asks me what want for Christmas, my birthday, Mother’s Day, etc. So, I’ve compiled a list of the things that go beyond robe, slippers, candle, and gift card when it comes to gift ideas for moms.

Here are 6 things to consider gifting to a mom in your life.

  1. The most comfortable joggers. I live in joggers. Some people love their jeans, or their leggings, but joggers is what I’ve found to be the most comfortable. Luxe: Vuori Performance Joggers. These $94 joggers are insanely comfortable. The first time I put them on I was in love and wanted more. They come in tons of colors and are a go-to no matter the season. Budget Friendly: Quince Flowknit Mid-Rise Jogger. I got these Quince joggers to satisfy my desire for more joggers and lower credit card bills. They are also super soft and flattering. Quince also always offers free shipping and a full year for returns.
  1. Cashmere Sweater – a cashmere sweater is timeless. It can be dressed up or down, be casual or formal. Be expensive or more budget friendly. Luxe: J. Crew cashmere is beautiful and comfortable. Budget Friendly: Quince Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck is what put this company “on the map” as they say on their site. The $50 cashmere sweater has 15,000 reviews comes in a variety of colors. (They also make cashmere joggers…)
  1. A timeless tote bag – every mom needs a tote bag. I know there are those out there that love their Bogg bag or their LV neverfull. But how about a more attainable tote bag? One that is a little easier on the wallet and is light weight and packable, and goes with everything? Look for the Longchamp Le Pilage original tote. This tote is a timeless bag. It comes in several sizes, can carry all of your essentials as well as some diapers, wipes and a change of clothes. The full zip closure also keeps all of those things from falling out. It can be both a Luxe and Budget Friendly buy. I got my first from Nordstrom Rack for a truly shocking price of $25. Nordstrom Rack or Saks off 5th will sometimes carry Longchamp bags and they are usually at a very accessible price. You can also check out resale sites that sometimes have new merchandise.
  1. Personalized jewelry (birthstone rings, birth month flower necklace, zodiac) – When you have more than one child, it can be a challenge to find a piece of jewelry to wear that represents all of your kids. You can have a piece crated that contains the birthstones of your children, or as I prefer, wear stacking rings with their birthstones. I also love the birth month flower necklaces like these. Another form of jewelry I sometimes wear to have my kids with me is zodiac earrings. Each zodiac is a specific constellation, I have 2 kids, so it is easy to wear earrings one each with their constellation. Often times with constellations you can buy single earrings.
  1. Original Art – I am a sentimental person, so personalized items mean a lot to me. Two of my favorite things are the paintings I have of my embryos. As someone who went through IVF to have children, these paintings have a very special place in my life and home. No embryo photo?, how about the paintings of your child’s heartbeat from an ultrasound photo. These paintings can look like abstract pieces of art, but have such depth and meaning.
  1. Unique Experience – Sometimes the last thing moms need is more stuff. Sure family photos and massages are experiences, but those photos can bring mom more stress. If you want to gift a truly unique experience that is just for her look into things like a color analysis by House of Colour. This was such a cool experience. It was a personal, one on one session that helped to show me what colors for clothing and make up work best for me.

Moms deserve great gifts too, and of course it’s the thought that counts, but if you want something other than a robe or a candle, add these items to your list, or if it comes down to it buy them for yourself!
