Where to Drop Off Santa Letters Around Baton Rouge
“Dear Santa,
This year for Christmas I would like . . . ”
It’s a magical time in your child’s life when they discover they can make requests from Santa, especially by writing him a personalized letter. These little special touches during the season are what make Christmas come to life.
Did you know Baton Rouge has its very own Santa’s Mailbox? It’s right in Gonzales.
If your child wants to send something all the way to the North Pole, the address is:
1732 S. Purpera Ave.
This special mailbox will be accepting letters until the night of December 22nd.
I made this a moment. I spent a morning writing and coloring a card with my daughter. We drove over to Santa’s bright red mailbox and looked at all the Christmas decorations along the way.
My daughter was so thrilled she went straight to drop the letter in before I even had my phone out to take a photo but grabbed one just in time.
It’s easy to spot from the side of the road with a big STOP sign that says, “STOP drop letters to Santa here.”
It’s in the driveway of a home and I just pulled right up to the mailbox while we dropped our letter inside. My daughter kept talking about it all the way home, wondering aloud when Santa would get it.
It’s rumored that despite Santa’s busy schedule, he will even send a personalized response back.
It’s too soon to say for us since we just delivered our letter, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.
