One Book One Community Celebration – We Are Here: A Gathering Of Poets

Unleash your inner poet! Join us this spring for our One Book One Community series featuring You Are Here: Poetry in the Natural World, edited by Ada Limon, 24th Poet Laureate of the United States. Read some poetry with us, write some poetry of your own, and participate in poetry and nature programs throughout the Library system. You can even submit your original poem to be considered for a community anthology!

Easter Egg Hunts | Easter Events | Easter Camps | Worth the Drive
These camps are hosted at multiple BREC locations throughout Baton Rouge. Campers will participate in games, arts and crafts, recreational activities, and much more.
April 6-10
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Ages: 6-12
Registration Dates: March 6- April 6
Campers will hop into the season by creating spring inspired art projects in an atmosphere of fun and encouragement. Media includes paint, clay, watercolor, pastels and mixed media. Limit of 20

April 6-10 / 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Ages: 7-10 / $125 per camper
Who wants to spend spring break with the animals? This zoo camp is one you won’t want to miss. Campers will get up close and personal with the animals, play seasonal games, make crafts, and get a tour through the zoo!

Ages: 6-13
Cost: $145 per child ($165 per child out-of-parish)Early drop-off & late pickup are available
Bring your child to Bluebonnet Swamp for three days of fun during the holiday break. They’ll be treated to nature-based activities such as arts and crafts, live animal encounters, hikes, games, and a themed afternoon snack. Each day will be comprised of different activities, and campers will need to bring a bag lunch and drink each day. Activities in spring camp will focus on springtime topics such as baby animals, blooming plants, and bees. Registration opens the first day of the month prior to camp.
April 6-8 / 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Early Drop-off: 7:30-9 a.m. / Late pick-up: 4-5:30 p.m.
Ages: 6-12 / $75 per camper
During the Holidays, your child can enjoy arts & crafts, sports, games, swimming, field trips and other fun activities at the YMCA Holiday Camps. Holiday Camp is open to children ages 4 (must be enrolled in a Pre-K program) to 13.

Keep kids’ bodies moving and minds sharp. Cancellation policy – Credit for camps (to be used towards other Tumbles services) can be issued only when notice is given at least 48 business hours in advance by phone or email. Refunds are not given for cancellation
