Mom’s Me Time :: Binge Worthy Series

Mom’s Me Time :: Binge Worthy Series

If you’re like me, there’s no better part of the day than when your kids are settled in their rooms, tucked into bed and it’s time for some quality ME time. Usually, I find solace in a hot bath, a glass of wine, and of course a mini tv binge that often times leaves me staying up too late and absolutely exhausted the next day. Is the sleepiness of the next day worth it? OF COURSE IT IS!

Here are 6 of my absolute favorite, very binge worthy shows.

1. Grey’s Anatomy :: Y’all, this is my safe show. The one I could watch a million times and still come back to time and time again. Who doesn’t love some steamy hospital romance or gut-wrenching sad scenes? Am I right? I fall in love with the characters (or hate if you want to get technical) every time I watch this one. Y’all can keep McDreamy btw, I’m a McSteamy fan all day.

2. Call The Midwife :: I LOVE this British show circling on a group of midwives in mid 1900’s London. There’s plenty of emotion and your fair share of happy tears will be shed. It’s a great option if you love period pieces.

3. This Is Us :: The short episodes of this one make it an easy binge. Sappy show to the core. You’ll cry and laugh with the characters as their stories unfold. It does jump back and forth between past and present day, so make sure you’re paying attention!

4. Girls :: My current binge. Make sure little eyes and ears are far in the distance with this one. Raunchy drama/comedy. It follows a group of girl friends through their twenties in NYC. The awkwardness of the characters is relatable and the secondhand embarrassment is felt throughout. That won’t stop you from rooting for the girls as they navigate the harsh realities of adulthood.

5. Ginny & Georgia :: The only down side of this one is that there’s currently only two seasons. Bingeable from the moment you press play. You’ll have a love/hate relationship with Georgia, who plays the mom of the show.

6. The Mindy Project :: Who doesn’t love comedian Mindy Kaling? She’s amazing and this sitcom proves it. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. You’ll enjoy every bit of this show. It’s an easy watch and one you don’t have to pay attention to all that much to know what’s going on. You can’t lie, sometimes those are the shows we like the most in the midst of raising kids and of course, scrolling on our phones.

Do you have a favorite binge worthy show? Let me know, I’m always looking for recommendations!
