Our Three Favorite Places for Sweet Treats In Baton Rouge
The sweet treats that bring us joy! For my sons and me, there’s no better celebration than a trip to the Great American Cookie Company in Zachary, our favorite ice cream haven. This place is the real deal – they let us try ALL the flavors (yes, you read that right … all of them!) without judging us. It’s like they know we’re on a mission to find the perfect scoop. And, let me tell you, it’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it!
But ice cream isn’t the only treat we obsess over. Every year, we make a pilgrimage to Coffee Call off of College St. (best name ever, btw) for custom birthday beignets. It’s a tradition we hold dear, and those fluffy, sugary clouds of goodness never disappoint.
And then, there’s our favorite donut shop in Central – the holy grail of fried dough – Holey Good Donuts is amazing! Not only are their donuts ridiculously delicious, but they’ll also make them with letters! Because, priorities. I mean, what’s better than a donut with your name on it? It’s like they’re saying, “Hey, you’re special, and you deserve a donut with your name on it.”
All joking aside, these sweet spots bring us so much joy, and we’re grateful for the memories we’ve made there.
