Roar into EBR: Enroll for Pre-K at the Baton Rouge Zoo!
Families are invited to kick off the new school year at Roar into EBR, a special back-to-school Pre-K enrollment event designed to make registration easy, convenient and fun. Join the East Baton Rouge Parish School System on Saturday, July 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo for a one-stop enrollment experience the whole family can enjoy.
Bring your child’s required enrollment documents, and your entire family will receive FREE admission to the zoo after enrollment is completed. Families will also receive one free food ticket and one free train ride ticket per person, plus enjoy face painting, inflatables, animal ambassadors, light refreshments and the chance to win exciting prizes.
District registration experts and school leaders will be available throughout the event to answer questions, assist with enrollment, explain school choice options, connect families with support services and even provide early access to bus route information.
To participate, families should bring the following documents:
- Child’s birth certificate
- Parent or guardian photo ID
- Up-to-date immunization record
- Two proofs of residence
- Two proofs of income
- Last report card (if applicable)
- Withdrawal letter (if applicable)
Families who have already completed online registration during the month of July can simply present the event flyer at the front gate to receive free admission.
The event will take place at the Capital One Pavilion entrance at BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo, located at 3601 Thomas Road in Baker (the former zoo entrance).
