Here are six tips for talking to your kids about COVID-19, but while we are homebound, we know many of us mamas and kids alike are feeling a bit anxious and since some studies have shown that music can quell anxiety, we wanted to share this list with you today.
It’s absolute madness surrounding us at the present moment, and I confess it has my anxiety through the roof at this point. Everywhere we turn, bad news is following us and a virus is plaguing us. We have been asked as a nation to keep social distance and to stay home, and it was announced on Friday that schools in Louisiana have closed down for a month. The unknown is stressful, y’all!
I know, as a mama, I need to keep going – even in the chaos. I am going to use this time trapped indoors with my boys not to panic but to stay as positive as I can. We will be playing board games, talking, watching movies, reading books, spring cleaning and getting to simple, mundane chores that we don’t always have time for because we are constantly on the go. We will be using this time to SLOW DOWN and appreciate our lives for what they are now. We will keep our eyes open for the blessings that we may have been taking for granted. We will be learning so many lessons. I will try not to despair and I’m hoping to encourage my little ones and loved ones to do the same.
