There are so many things to do with kids in Baton Rouge this Fall! We have also put together over 75 of our favorite ideas for entertaining kids in Baton Rouge. There are ideas for every family’s budget and interests.

Barn Hill Preserve has SO much fun to offer your family this Fall! Pumpkin Patch admission is $17.50 per person for one day and ages 2 and under are free! This includes a self-guided tour of our zoological park, petting zoo, kangaroo walkabout, fall games, a free small pumpkin, wagon rides, face painting, inflatables, and theme weekend activities! The patch opens at 9 am and closes at 2 pm every Saturday and Sunday.
Here are the theme weekends available:
- Prehistoric Patch: Dinosaurs have taken over Barn Hill’s pumpkin patch! September 30th, October 1st, 21st, 22nd, Nov 4th, 5th
- Mystical Patch: A magical weekend with wizards, fairies, and mermaids! October 7th and 8th
- The Amazing Pumpkin Patch: A storybook weekend of princesses, mermaids, and superheroes! October 14th and 15th
- Boo at the Barn: A family-friendly, spooky weekend of costumes and treats! October 28th and 29th

Baton Rouge Area Pumpkin Patches
Corn Maze at Burden
Location: 4560 Essen Lane Baton Rouge, LA
Dates: October 7, 8, 14, 21, 28
Times:
Morning | 9 – 11 a.m.
Midday | Noon – 2 p.m.
Afternoon | 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Event Details: Activities will include: Corn Maze, Sunflower Fields (weather dependent), Pumpkin Patch, Petting Farm, Gargantuan Games, Corn Crip, Spook-tacular Playground, Temporary Tattoo Parlor, Hayride, Satsuma picking, Hay Mountain, and Picnic Area with local snack vendors
Tickets are $15 per person and free for children two and younger. Tickets are pre-sale only, and will not be offered at the gate. All ages must have a ticket to enter. Tickets are limited.
Jefferson United Methodist Church

Livingston Area Pumpkin Patches
City of Walker Fall Festival
Location: 30445 Corbin Ave, Walker, LA
Dates: Saturday, October 28, 2023
Times: 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Event Details: The City of Walker will be hosting a family-friendly Fall Festival at Sidney Hutchinson Park. The event will include live music with T-Boy and Just Us, a farmer’s and art market, food trucks, hayrides, a pie bake off, farm animals, a children’s costume contest and village, and more!

Tangipahoa Parish Pumpkin Patches
Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch
Location: 11215 Lee’s Lane (Hammond, LA)
Dates: September 23rd through November 5th
Times: Monday through Sunday 9:00am until 4:00pm
Event Details: $10 per child, adults are free. Adults without Kids – $10. Cash only. Pick a pumpkin, jumping pillow, face painting, farm animals, hay maze, picnic lunch spot, and more. Mrs. Heather’s also schedules field trips and birthday parties!

Poche’s Pumpkin Patch
Location: 900 Guilbeau Road, Lafayette, Louisiana
Dates: September 29th through October 31st
Times: Wednesday – Friday: 3pm – 6pm. Saturday and Sunday: 10am – 6:30 pm. Closed Monday October 31, 2023.
Event Details: Entry fee is $10. Pumpkins are $5. CASH ONLY. Check out their website for information on their variety of events, ranging from a Princess and Superhero night and a Paint the Patch Pink to celebrate all of those who are fighting and will fight the good fight against Breast Cancer.
