Hi! I’m a Carpool Mom!
The joyride of carpooling! My trusty car, aka the “Snuggle Wagon,” is where the magic happens. I’ll take quality time where I can get it. Buckle up, kids!
As we hit the road, we play our favorite game, “Guess the Song.” Jack, my third-grade math whiz, sings along to Taylor Swift at the top of his lungs, while Jacob, my kindergarten artist, giggles uncontrollably to “The Wheels on the Bus.” I love watching them let loose and have fun.
Snuggled up with blankets and munching on snacks, we take a moment to boost each other up. I remind Jack that he’s an amazing math problem-solver and that Jacob is a brave and creative artist.
They beam with pride, knowing they’re loved and capable.
Jacob’s been worried about monsters at school, so we practice our superhero poses and “monster-repelling” hugs. I reassure him that his school is a safe and happy place, full of friends and fun.
Jack’s been feeling self-conscious about his height, but I remind him that kindness and math skills will take him far in life. We set our “Day Goals” – Jack wants to ace his math test, while Jacob hopes to create a masterpiece in art class. I remind them that trying their best and being kind is what truly matters.
As we pull up to school, I give them a final dose of love and encouragement. “I believe in you, Jack! You’re safe and loved, Jacob!” They hop out, backpacks bouncing, ready to take on the day.
And I’m left with an aching heart, crying eyes, already looking forward to our next adventure together in the Snuggle Wagon. I miss them so much.
