My husband called me over excitedly, “LOOK!”
JoJo Siwa is coming to New Orleans.
Our kid is obsessed. She is having a JoJo birthday party, has touched every piece of JoJo merch in Target. She has taught all of her little sisters the songs and dance moves. Clearly, she bought high top shoes.
We quickly pulled up event tickets, ready to spend a few dollars to make all her dreams come true. As soon as the prices popped up, it was a big giant NOPE for me.
The nosebleed, touching-the-outer-wall-of-the-arena seats are $125 per ticket before taxes and fees. NOPE.
My husband tried to convince me to buy the tickets anyway. And maybe for some of you, this is the chance to truly celebrate your child and share an amazing experience. For now, though, we will hold off on spending our entire monthly grocery budget on two tickets to watch a teenager sing songs (albeit really cute, encouraging songs) to my 6 year old, who likely won’t remember a thing.
How old were you when you went to your first concert? At what age did / will you bring your kids?
