Whether you’re a diehard LSU fan who bleeds purple and gold or simply a mom looking for some family-friendly activities for her kids, you’ve got to check out Mike’s Kids Club. Created for the youngest Tiger fans in Baton Rouge, Mike’s Kids Club gives kids 12 and under the ultimate LSU experience. From special edition LSU swag to VIP only events, Mike’s Kids Club has got something for every Tiger-loving family. And did I mention that lifetime membership is only $20 per child? Read on for three reasons why your kiddos should join Mike’s Kids Club today.

1) Get Into LSU Events for Free

What Baton Rouge family doesn’t love cheering on the Purple and Gold? With Mike’s Kids Club, you’ll get the chance to do a whole lot more of that because members (meaning kids) get into select athletic events for free! Free sporting events include all home matches for soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, softball, and track and field. While kiddos get into these athletic events for free, accompanying adults and older siblings must purchase tickets at the General Admission price.

2) Gain Access to VIP Only Events

Going to an LSU game is one thing, but getting the VIP treatment takes the experience to a whole new level. Mike’s Kids Club frequently holds special events throughout the year, exclusively for members. Examples of past events include a player meet and greet and the chance to get autographs from the LSU Volleyball team, the opportunity to participate in the Field Krewe before a softball game and the chance to run the bases , a special tailgate for the annual spring football game and the chance to watch the LSU Gymnastics team warm-up on the floor. These special, members-only events are the types of activities that create lasting memories for your little Tigers fans.

3) Campout in Death Valley

The ultimate reason to join Mike’s Kids Club is for the chance to campout in Tiger Stadium! Every year in April, Mike’s Kids Club holds the Tiger Stadium Campout, where you and your family have the chance to purchase passes so that you can campout in tents on the football field. The campout is action-packed with kid-friendly activities, including a catered dinner and breakfast, inflatables, a special viewing of an LSU Baseball game on the Jumbotron, plenty of games of catch on the field, an exclusive tour of the LSU Football team’s locker room and the viewing of a movie on the Jumbotron, complete with popcorn. My kids love the Tiger Stadium Campout, and we’ve made in an annual family tradition.

Every Mike’s Kids Club member gets their own special swag so they can show their support for the purple and gold. Kids get a membership ID card with their photo (which is used to gain admission into free sporting events), an official Mike’s Kids Club t-shirt and pennant and an autographed picture of Mike. And, existing members can pay an $12 fee to get updated swag every year.

So have I convinced you to join yet? I promise, they’re not paying me to write this post! We just genuinely enjoy being in Mike’s Kids Club, and want to help get the word out. So go on and join the club and Geaux Tigers!

She earned her Bachelors degree from (don't hold it against her) the University of Southern California, where she graduated Cum Laude.
