Saving time in the kitchen is one of my favorite things to do. I love to provide healthy meals for my family, so any shortcuts I can find to prep and cook quickly and easily definitely catch my attention. When Luxury Pasta approached me to try their new kitchen shortcut, Pot-Sized Pasta, I was intrigued right away. All those years of breaking noodles to fit in pots and trying to find a way to store those long, awkward boxes of spaghetti are over!
Luxury Pasta’s new Pot-Sized pasta is half the length of regular spaghetti and ready to go straight into your pot. No breaking dry noodles, watching half of them fly all over the kitchen. No having to stand in front of a boiling pot trying to push all those long noodles under water. These are things that not only drive me nuts but stop my cooking-flow in the kitchen. Pot-Sized pasta is not only practical but pretty genius! They have Pot-Sized pasta in angel hair, linguine, spaghetti, and thin spaghetti. Just open the box and dump right in…now that’s a shortcut!
After being inspired by this new kitchen shortcut, I went to the Red Stick Moms Blog team to come up with a shortcut of our own! Our contributor, Charlotte, has a great one: Use a stand mixer to shred whole chicken breasts!
This one is SUCH a timesaver. Usually if you want shredded chicken, you get out two forks and begin puling the chicken apart. After about 5-10 minutes, you have inconsistent pieces, tired hands, and most likely a few getaway pieces on the floor to clean up.
Using the stand mixer eliminates extra tools, extra mess, and wasted time! You can shred 4 whole chicken breasts in under a minute. All you do is throw them in the mixing bowl, attach the paddle attachment, and turn the mixer to low/medium for a minute!
DONE! All perefectly shredded with no mess and no energy on your part! You can throw that casserole or some yummy tacos together in no time.
