Back To School Shopping Made Easy

Every year, it feels like the summer gets shorter and shorter. And every year it seems that stores put out school supplies quicker and quicker. Even before summer officially starts, schools send the school supply lists home on the last day of school. Although I held off as long as I could, school is starting in less than two weeks, so it’s time to buy school supplies. With three kids, it’s hard to keep up with all of their school supply needs. Some need red folders, some need blue folders, and some are not using folders at all but instead opting for one-subject notebooks. With the added complication of boys being asked to purchase a different size Ziploc bag than girls, purchasing and organizing school supplies is not always an easy feat.

Now that majority big named stores are offering grocery pickup and delivery, grocery shopping has become easier and less time consuming for parents. School supply shopping is no exception and parents can now order school supplies online and select a convenient time to pick them up. Now that I can purchase school supplies online, I can go through my lists and make sure that I have every item requested for each child. I can even make sure I stay within budget since my subtotal updates every time I add a new item.

Companies like The Red Wagon and Educational Station School Supply Warehouse gives parents the option of uploading their school’s supply list, paying online, and then selecting if to get the supplies delivered to their homes, their child’s school, or a specified location.  Office Depots offers the school supply box. All parents have to do is select their child’s grade and all items needed are packed neatly in one easy-to-carry box for one price.

To put the icing on the school supplies cake, schools like Baton Rouge Foreign Language Academic Immersion Magnet gives parents the option of ordering school supplies online and having them delivered to the school by the first day.

With online grocery shopping and companies specializing in handling school supplies, I have one less thing to worry about when school starts.
