I loved getting to know this mom through her beautiful home and inspiring words, and I know you will too!  Autumn Miller is mother of two and owner of Shabby Green Designs, a built-from-scratch furniture restoration business.  Not only is this momma creative, talented, and driven, but she will definitely have you smiling and ready to join her for a much-loved cup of coffee by the end of this warm and inviting tour.  I can't wait for you to "meet" her and hear how she manages running a business, keeping white couches clean, and avoiding the snares of mommy comparisons.  Enjoy the tour! Q: Tell us a little about yourself and your sweet family. For starters, we’re an odd bunch. Michael...
Today was the day.  I bit the bullet and got Blaison his very. first. cell. phone. Let me start by saying that I don't think there's an exact age, a mathematical formula, or even a certain grade that would be classified as the right time for a child to have a cell phone.  I truly feel that each situation is different and in our case, we waited.  I told myself years ago that I was going to wait, despite the trips to visit his mom or the cross-country practices that may or may not have rained out, WE were going to wait.  I was going to wait until the day or even days for that matter, that I told myself "...ok, so...

You know me, all about putting my unborn child at risk eating whatever I want.   #3 Why're you breathing so hard!?   I think it has something to do with this other human being inhabiting my body & the heat index of 95 degrees before 9 am #louisianaproblems   #2 Any guess at how far along they are, of any kind. You’ll either over guess and make them feel like they’re not showing “enough”, or under guess and make them feel...
The stockpile.  A couponer's badge of honor.  Now, I get it.  You just want to save some money, not start a convenience store in your spare bedroom. I felt the same way.  And for the most part, I still do. But it's nice to know that when we run out of toothpaste, I can grab a tube that was free instead of having to run to the store and pay $4 for it. My stockpile is small, but it's perfect for our family of 3. Couponing is all about buying when the price is right so that you don't have to pay more when you need the items.  My husband may disagree, but I try to be selective so that...
