If you know me, then you know that grief and I go way back. We first met in 1990 when I was 13-years-old. I barely knew myself, yet I was expected to familiarize myself with such an unwelcome visitor. The worst part of that whole experience was having to go through it without the one person who'd been my guide and support through everything else .... my mother. My mother was the person I was grieving. Did I mention that I was only 13-years-old at the time? Now, trust me, there's no ideal age to say goodbye to your mother. It doesn't matter if you're 13 or 73, the pain is still the same. That's because no matter how old...
I don't know about y'all, but my days are running together because of the stay at home orders. I only know when it's Sunday because my church notifies me to come watch them on Facebook. When I realized that Mother's Day was right around the corner, I got a little worried. Amazon shipping dates are still ridiculous and my mom is not the easier to shop for anyway. I needed help! Mimosa Handcrafted  - Handcrafted in Baton Rouge by wife and husband duo, Madeline & Dawson Ellis Laalee Jewelry - Handcrafted jewelry designed...

I started thinking about ways that we could make the day feel like Easter since some of the normal ways we celebrate aren't possible this year. Watch an Easter service on-line: Lots of churches, including our own, are streaming Easter services Sunday morning. We are going to watch ours Easter Sunday morning, and the service will still be an Easter service, just altered with no congregation and with other measures...
Easter is literally around the corner. Amazon (while we love them) has ship dates that are months out. And let’s face it, in the midst of quarantine we’re all taking a closer look at how we can support local businesses! Some of you are sitting on easy street with Easter stuff already stashed in that special hiding spot. For other, less advanced planners like myself, I thought a list of locally owned shops offering Easter stuffers would be helpful! If you’re like me you’ve polled all your Facebook groups, asked all your friends and you got so overwhelmed that you still haven’t shopped! So here you go, all in one place, locally owned businesses ready to hook you with...
