Christmas Morning Creamy Cinnamon Rolls

Christmas Morning Creamy Cinnamon Rolls

Christmas morning is about spending time with loved ones while giggling children excitedly opening presents, and Brenda Lee’s Rocking Around the Christmas Tree plays in the background. No one wants to miss out on the morning enjoyment by being in the kitchen preparing a complicated breakfast.

Below is our go-to Christmas morning breakfast.

Ingredients:

Bottom Layer

  • 2 cans of store-bought cinnamon rolls
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Icing

  • Icing packets that come with cinnamon rolls
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons water

Directions:

Drizzle some of the heavy whipping cream in the bottom of a 13×9 baking dish. Place rolls on top. Pour the remaining cream over the rolls. Melt butter and add brown sugar over low heat until well combined. Pour over rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Remove cinnamon rolls from the oven.

Combine icing packets, powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and water in a mixer. Mix until well combined. Spread on top of baked cinnamon rolls.
