Art Like No Other: Creative Art with Baringer Art Center and ArtsFest@Baringer Park
BREC has so much to offer to the Baton Rouge community! Did you know that they offer art classes? The Baringer Art Center was established as BREC’s art hub located at Baringer Park. This is an art center that is like no other! The Baringer Art Center believes in the importance of creating a safe place for the creator: art is fun and there are no set boundaries when it comes to individual creativity. There should be artistic freedom and creativity over the end product when it comes to creating art.
Baringer Art Center Offers Free and Paid Classes
Baringer Art Center offers free as well as affordable classes with professional artists for all ages: 3 years old and up. There are affordable paid classes offered on Monday mornings. These include Mono Printing, Gelli Plate Printing, Sketchbook and Collage classes which are designed for learning skills that will enable them to continue creating their own art.
If you are looking for art classes for children ages 3-5, then Studio 3, 4, 5 is just what you are looking for. These classes are created to kindle the excitement of creating art at a young age along with parent involvement. Another great class offered to children is their Loose Ends program. Loose Ends is an after-school program available 2x a month. It is created for kids to bring the creative world of art to them after school hours as they unwind from the school day. These classes vary from week to week and are only $10 per child.
Are you looking for a class made just for adults with a fun twist? Art UnWined is an adult class that brings the fun of creativity along with the availability of adult beverages. In these classes, you will sketch out the drawings yourself and have the freedom to pick any color when it comes to painting. No restrictions when it comes to this art class. The perfect way to un-wine with creative art!
Another one of the free classes offered at Baringer Art Center is held on Fridays. This free opportunity allows adults to stop by the Baringer Art Center to receive help and advice from available professional artists. Not sure where to go next with your creative project? Stop by the Baringer Art Center to have professional artists give you advice to help get your art project underway.
