Fall in Baton Rouge

Ahhhhhh. It’s fall in Baton Rouge, which means time for all things pumpkin and finally enjoying some precious family time outdoors without sweating. Well, we might still sweat on some days but at least it’s a tad more bearable? As it starts to cool down, we try to spend as much time outdoors as possible! Kids generally love to run wild and be free, so we’re always on the hunt for activities and events that will let them do just that.

Farr Park’s Open House is Coming Up This Month!

For all of those reasons, our families are particularly excited about Farr Park’s Open House coming up later this month. Stampede over with your Baton Rouge “herd” to BREC’s Farr Park Equestrian Center on Saturday,Farr Park’s Open House is Coming Up This Month! October 21 from 10:00am to 2:00pm for the annual Fall Open House to see what Farr Park is all about. Baton Rouge families and children of all ages will enjoy free activities including a petting zoo until Noon, (who doesn’t love up close encounters with animals?!) concessions, games, prizes, barn tours, hay rides, vet demonstrations and more! Also, you will have the unique opportunity to watch BREC’s riding students compete in both English and Western classes. We think that’s a pretty cool experience for little kids to see a sport to possibly pursue later in life, don’t you?
