Namaste In These Leggings {all weekend} :: tasc Performance

Disclosure :: tasc Performance, a New Orleans based company, sponsored this review and shared some cool items. However, these are our own opinions and we think we will live in these clothes {because, Louisiana humidity} and have a running wish list for more items!

A “tasc” Anyone Can Rock!

Several of our friends have mentioned tasc Performance in the past few months; we’ve heard everything from “best underwear” to “most comfortable shirts” and “super breathable shorts.” So naturally, my husband and I really wanted to give this New Orleans based brand a trial run! It’s really rare that Tyler and I BOTH gush over one particular brand because we’re typically polar opposites when it comes to apparel. While I’m more about style, he focuses on the material of clothing more than I do and is limited to certain fabrics because of his sensitive skin. This gal right here is celebrating having worked hard to lose 20 pounds over the last year and was in the market for a sports bra and legging that can be transitional (and NO see through shenanigans wanted)! Tyler was looking for something that could be worn from the tennis court out to daily life, a transitional outfit, if you will.

Why, YES, You Can Have Comfort AND Style!

When we each put on our Saturday threads, we conversed in solely adjectives …”oh, niiiice…hey, super soft…oh, cuuuute (that was me).” We couldn’t believe that a business that is practically in our backyard managed to create such diverse and comfortable apparel! While my outfit was pretty basic, don’t let that fool you because all sports bras and leggings ARE NOT created equally. I was rocking the NOLA High Rise Legging with the St. Charles Sports Bra and Tyler wore the Nantucket Fitted Pocket T and the Switchback II Short. We both agree that the price point and quality of material is out of the park amazing. When it comes to resourcing and quality, tasc has clearly done their research to produce high-quality bamboo fabrics that feel luxurious, are breathable, moisture wicking, anti-odor, UPF 50+ protective and COMFORTABLE!

Namaste In These Leggings and Sports Bra All Day, Thank You Very Much!

As a mom of two, versatility (i.e. leggings) is priority in my wardrobe. I’m willing to invest in a great sports bra and pair of leggings because I know I’ll wear them a ton. The tasc Performance sports bra is so comfortable that I barely feel it there; it’s not constricting, but it IS supportive … and quite comfy, too. One feature that I like my leggings to have is a higher waist band because it keeps me tucked in and smooth in all the right spots. I can do carpool, business meetings, work out, walk, yoga, doctor’s appointments … all while dressing these leggings up or down. I may or may not have worn these leggings all weekend. I’m pretty sure Marie Kondo would approve with a high five since I “thanked” my old leggings and sent them on their way.

Spring Into Action!

We’re really excited to see the release of the Spring 2019 collection. Now that we know what the bamboo material that tasc Performance uses feels like {trust us, it’s amazingly breathable}, it’s exactly what living this humid Louisiana life calls for in an apparel line!

Ericka is originally a New Orleans gal who was raised to begin many dishes with a roux. Since 2011, she has happily embraced the Red Stick life with her husband of seven years, Tyler. Although she met her husband at an LSU game after her car broke down, they both attended Northwestern State University where she graduated with a Business Administration degree. After graduation, she and Tyler took a leap of faith and tied the knot. She dabbled in the corporate scene but eventually returned to school to pursue her passion for teaching and earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught at an inner-city school in Baton Rouge for 3 years where she gained a family of students and colleagues alike. She’s traded in her beloved Expo pens and clipboard to stay home with her sweet and adventurous one-year-old son, Cullen. She is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the sisterhood of fellow moms. Motherhood has been the best roller coaster she’s ever been on and even at the most challenging times, she tries to remember to embrace the chaos and “bless this mess” mentality. Ericka loves a good conversation, coffee, empowering other women {because we can all use a little encouragement}, laughing, baking and making memories with her family.
