Raising Tiny Humans :: One Resolution at a Time

Raising Tiny Humans :: One Resolution at a Time

As I sit here, sipping my coffee, and reflecting on the past year,

I’m reminded of the chaos, and the joy, that comes with motherhood, dear.

My kids, Jack and Jacob, are my world, my everything,

But being their mom can be crazy, and make me want to pull my hair and sing!

So, as we welcome a new year, I’ve made some resolutions, to be a better mom, and a happier me,

To learn from my mistakes, and to grow, wild and free.

Here are a few things we’ve learned, and won’t repeat:

– Criticizing others’ choices, when they don’t hurt others, is just not cool.

– Comparing my kids to others, is a recipe for disaster, and a whole lot of stress.

– Trying to be perfect, is a myth, that I’m happy to dismiss.

And here are some things we should do, to have emotionally healthy children:

– Take more time to just be present with my kids, without the distraction of screens.

– Practice mindfulness, and meditation, to stay calm, and centered.Raising Tiny Humans :: One Resolution at a Time

– Show physical affection, like hugs, and kisses, to release oxytocin, and spread love.

– Validate their feelings, and listen to their concerns, to help them develop emotional intelligence.

– Encourage independence, and self-reliance, to help them grow into capable, and confident individuals.

And here are some things we to do for ourselves:

– Prioritize self-care, and make time for activities that bring us joy.

– Set realistic expectations, and prioritize what’s truly important, to avoid burnout, and maintain my sanity.

– Practice gratitude, and reflect on the good things, in my life, to cultivate a positive mindset, and attract more joy.

– Take breaks, and ask for help, when I need it, to avoid exhaustion, and maintain my physical, and mental health.

– Be more patient, and understanding, with myself, and remember that I’m doing the best I can.

As I look to the new year, I’m filled with hope, and excitement,

For the possibilities that await, and the memories we’ll create.

I’ll strive to be a better mom, and a happier me,

And cherish every moment, with my kids, wild and free.

So here’s to the new year, and all its possibilities,

May we learn from our mistakes, and grow, with humility.

May we prioritize our well-being, and take care of ourselves,

And may we cherish every moment, with our kids, and live life to the fullest, with love, laughter, and joy!
