Why I Support and Encourage Direct Sales Opportunities

Why I support and ENCOURAGe Direct Sales Opportunities

This post may be met with some controversy, but I feel like the air needs to be cleared about all direct sales business people and the goods and opportunities they promote. Full disclosure, I am personally involved with a direct sales company and have thoroughly enjoyed the financial rewards I’ve received, the connections I’ve made with others and the business opportunity given to me.

With modern technology at our finger tips 24/7, the presence of direct sales in our lives is apparent just by opening a social media app. Many people view direct sales as others “pestering” them, or attempting to get them involved in a “get rich quick scheme,” but if you are one of the many whose livelihood depends on direct sales, you see things much differently. Everyone who does happen to get rich through direct sales certainly doesn’t accomplish this feat quickly or easily. Trust me, they have worked tirelessly for many, many months to reach a goal, and they are very proud to share their accomplishments with you just as anyone who receives a big promotion in an ordinary day job would. Be kind, relish in their success and listen to their passion. You never know, you just may find your new job or new favorite product.

If you are offered a product via direct sales that you already buy in a store, take a moment to consider switching your point of purchase to a direct sales company, and enjoy the many perks in doing so. Being a veteran attendee and host of numerous direct sales shows and parties and a seller myself, here are the reasons why I love making my purchases through direct sales companies and why I choose to supplement my family’s income with direct sales.

1. Shop from home

What mom doesn’t love to shop from the comfort and convenience of her own home? You can take your time browsing products without worry of an impending meltdown.

2. Product guarantees

Since many direct sales companies do the bulk of their business with online purchases, most offer a product guarantee. Love what you’ve bought or conveniently return it (in most cases with free return shipping).

3. Support people you know

Buying products from independent direct salespeople means you are essentially supporting their small business. You are putting money in the pockets of people just like you who are raising kids, buying groceries and working to paying their next mini-van note.

4. Trusted testimonials

Buying the latest, greatest product from your friend or neighbor likely means that it is a product they believe in wholeheartedly. You get a trusted opinion on items you’d likely buy blindly in a traditional store (and don’t forget about that product guarantee, if it does happen to not be so great).

5. Quality items

Most direct sales companies stream-line their product offerings to cater to a specific niche typically making the products higher quality than big-box stores that offer a little bit of everything.

So the next time you’re invited to a show or asked to host a party make an effort to host or attend, you may just make a new connection, find a supplemental income, or buy a product that really is the latest and greatest, all while helping a family just like yours put food on their table.

How do you feel about direct sales? Share your experiences, good or bad!
