A Letter To You, Joey B.

Hey Joey B,

Thank you for being someone that we can all look up to! You are the entire package! You are kind, genuine, funny, compassionate, hardworking, and just an overall great guy! Your parents did a stand-up job raising you. You are a spectacular role model for both my boys and girls to watch. They can learn humility, that putting in the work gets you to wherever you want to go but above all, they can see firsthand what kindness truly does to the people around you. Always stay true to yourself and I have no doubt that you will continue to soar!

I watched a few clips from the Super Bowl when you were mic’d up and again, I was absolutely blown away by your character. It moved me to tears watching you from a mama’s standpoint meeting the guys you grew up watching play football. And this time, you weren’t a little boy in front of the tv, you were a grown man living out your dreams. At one point during the pregame, you joked about waking up to a pimple on the morning of the Super Bowl. I laughed out loud, again here you are, The GOAT, worried about a pimple and being absolutely relatable and likeable! You know that you will always have the LSU fan base following you, but you have no idea how much it means to us that you reciprocate that love to us. You will always have a home here in Baton Rouge and wherever you GEAUX-you will have fans supporting your team!

The world is your canvas, Joe and I love that we can follow you as you paint!

Much love and respect,

A born and bred Tiger fan

  1. It was heart breaking to see my hometown team lose, but they played so great! I kind of gave up on them for awhile years ago when some of their players didn’t know how to display good sportsmanship, especially against the Steelers. But this is a new team. A new coach. A new Dey. And they will be back next year to try again! Having Joe on the team has been so great for Cincinnati. I live in Texas now but was in Cinci for the game and the energy in the town was high! To whom much has been given, much is expected. Keep your head and your heart in the right place, Joe!
