Teaching kids to be thankful for their many blessings is important year-round, but especially during the month of November when we celebrate Thanksgiving. As my kids are getting older, I hope to teach them the importance of practicing gratitude. This cute turkey craft is a great way to help kids think about and express things they are thankful for. Older kids will love completing this on their own, and younger kids will have just as much fun putting it together will a little assistance from an adult. To make a thankful turkey, you need the following supplies: Free thankful turkey printable Construction paper Wobbly eyes glue scissors To make the thankful turkey follow these steps: Download and print this thankful turkey template....
We all know there are those Christmas gifts that your grandma or great aunt gives you every year... like an old school picture of Mary and Baby Jesus, a Rosary from the mail (cher maw maw and her mail Rosaries), or another devotional book that will be stacked with your other unread devotional books. Thanks to social media and the lovely people creating unique and desirable items that are fun and fashionable, but also Christian centered, we can say goodbye to the 70s devotionals (no hard feelings, most are filled with good nuggets of truth) and hello to authentic Christmas items that we will love to give and receive! I wanted to share a few awesome artisans and shops with...
Last summer I agreed to chair the Father / Daughter Dance at our kid's school. I have a background in wedding / party planning and coordinating so it kind of fits. Once I eliminated previous themes, I wanted to have something that I could easily decorate a room with. I wanted to have a theme that I could easily...

5 More Fun Halloween Crafts

Halloween is probably our favorite holiday. Shhh ... don't tell Thanksgiving or Christmas!! We love decorating the house, making crafts, watching Halloween movies, reading Halloween books, dressing up in costumes (to be honest we do this year-round), go to as many fall fests as we can find, and most fun of all ... throwing a party on Halloween. This year, with the girls being 2 and 4, I found crafts that they both would enjoy doing that were similar while still being age-appropriate. The first craft we did was a spider handprint craft. You will need: Orange construction paper Black paint Paintbrush or sponge Black marker Glue Googly eyes Instructions: Grab your construction paper Paint your child's hand black (but not the thumb!) ...
Let me start by saying that I am not a crafty person. When I was working, my kids would bring home all sorts of nifty crafts from daycare and I would think to myself that I could not imagine trying to do that with a three year old. Well. Fast forward a year and I'm now a stay-at-home mom (that's another post for another day) with three kids ages four and under. I like to go out and do things but right now, it's just hard to go do with a baby who nurses every two hours. So instead, I've been trying to fill some of our time with cheap and easy crafts. All of these I found on Pinterest...
