Chasing my {Golf} Swing with tasc Performance

Chasing my {Golf} Swing with tasc Performance

Freshly cut grass. Morning dew coating the fairway at the City Park Golf Course. The wind gently air blowing through my, well … bald head as I step up to the first tee. My first thought was, “please don’t slice, please don’t slice.” As the day carried on, filled with good conversations and laughter, the temperature in Baton Rouge slowly creeped up as it often does. However, the light and airy cotton blend polo I was wearing (early Father’s Day present! courtesy my wife’s gig at Red Stick Moms Blog) allowed me remain nice and cool in the sweltering Louisiana sun.

I was excited for the opportunity to try out tasc Performance, based just down the road in New Orleans. The timing couldn’t be better, as I literally just picked up a new hobby :: golf. Rewind to a little over a month ago; I’d realized that finding something other than what I do for a living (i.e. a hobby) is important. By day I’m a filmmaker, and I spend a lot of my time studying the art of editing and film. My career ironically first started as a simple hobby and passion; I knew eventually it would become something more, and it’s now my full-time profession. The process of consistently creating or being in a creative state of mind is actually exhausting when your career depends on it. I realized that I needed to find something else to focus on, and that something as of late is golf! Being that it is a relatively new sport for me, having new golf attire was quite helpful, so I certainly wasn’t going to turn down the chance to try this Louisiana based line.

tasc Performance :: for Golf Dads, Active Dads and Professional Dads

With tasc Performance golf apparel I can definitely say that I “look the part.” My shirt (an air stretch polo) is made with a combination of organic cotton, Viscose from bamboo and Lycra … all of  this magic results in one of the softest tops I own. As an added bonus, this shirt has an athletic cut that allows for a comfortable yet fitted wear. The pants (from the drive collection) are honestly just as cozy as the shirt. It packs the perfect stretch and is designed to keep you nice and cool through your 18 holes. I can also see wearing the shirt to a baseball game, sporting event or really anything outside in the Baton Rouge area. While the other fellows I was playing with were sweating buckets, I was cool and collected. I’m counting the days to my next tee time wearing my favorite new golf gear.

While I did not personally receive any, I am also told that tasc Performance makes some of the most comfortable and breathable underwear for men. If you’re not yet familiar with tasc Performance but want to test drive a piece of clothing, the boxers may be a good place to start. The wise women at Red Stick Moms Blog also shared that they enjoy the tasc Performance leggings. It’s nice to know that this brand is for all of the active people in your life.

Camille
Camille has always had ties to Baton Rouge even though she didn’t live here until she finished college. Both of her parents grew up in the Red Stick but she was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) with a BA in Communication Studies, she moved to Baton Rouge and welcomed her adorable son Caleb (7) less than a year later. She navigated life being a divorced mom until 2015 when she married her incredibly supportive husband Chris in San Francisco. They welcomed baby Christian in the summer of 2017. Truly a “Jane of all Trades”, she has worked in non-profit, local news, retail management, and owned a successful childcare facility. All roads led her to be an elementary school teacher which she believes is her calling. Camille enjoys “family fun days” where they explore BR, CrossFit, baking, and drinking all the coffee. She lives with her family in Ascension Parish with their chubby puggle Chloe.
