Christmas On Pointe
Have you heard about Baton Rouge’s premier residential community, Pointe-Marie? If you’ve had a chance to visit then you know that Pointe-Marie is a 120-acre walkable village featuring gorgeous homes on beautiful lots, entertainment for the whole family and a charming sense of community located right here in the Red Stick on historic River Road. If you have not yet had a chance to visit Pointe-Marie, this holiday season is the perfect time to see all this community has to offer.
There was so much fun to be had and there was something for everyone to do!
Both of our girls tried their hand at playing the inflatable games with dad. The cookie decorating activity was a hit as well. Not only did they enjoy creating their cookie masterpieces, but they enjoyed eating them even more! Our toddler was super excited to get her face painted; she chose to get a princess crown and by the way she looked at herself in the mirror, it was clear that she absolutely loved the final result! My husband was happy he could keep up with the scores for all of the playoff football games thanks to the big screen TV viewing area. My favorite part of Christmas on Pointe was perusing all of the vendors on site. I picked up a few pieces to accessorize my looks for my upcoming Christmas and New Years Eve socials. And everyone in attendance enjoyed the “faux” snowballs on the lawn!
Of course, visiting Santa and Mrs. Clause was the highlight of the day! Santa was so patient with our youngest daughter, and he made sure to ask her what she wanted for Christmas. Have you noticed that most Santas don’t even ask anymore? Well, the Santa at Pointe-Marie wasn’t just a photo op or prop. A full experience was provided. We even had a chance to write and mail a letter to Santa, just to seal the deal! All the while, the DJ kept things lively with up tempo tunes, and the food trucks kept us full with a host of offerings from tacos to Louisiana favorites!
Christmas On Pointe definitely did not disappoint!
You’ll want to experience this beautiful community for yourself! The homes are truly amazing but it’s the sense of community that will keep us coming back.
The next event at Pointe-Marie is the Christmas Movie on Pointe to be held on Thursday, December 21st at 5:30pm. Take your family out to watch the classic film Home Alone on the Big Screen in Point-Marie Square. We will see you there!
