Team Reintroductions: Fall Edition – Trix

Your role with Red Stick Mom:

Special Projects & Event Assistant and Red Stick Mom Contributor

About Trix:

Trix started her life in Georgia and after living in Myrtle Beach, Tahoe City, and Nashville, her (now) husband wrangled her into a life of Bayou living here in Baton Rouge. She’s the mother of six; a vivacious 9 year old, a curly haired 6 year old, their hurricane of a 3 year old that keeps them on their toes, & 3 sweet babes taken far too soon. She’s well versed in potty humor & innuendos while perfecting the art of sarcasm on the daily. When she’s not busy living the homeschool life, complete with yoga pants & coffee she is running her business Rane or Shine Designs.

Favorite fall family tradition:

Halloween themed meals! Cinnamon roll intestines for breakfast, skeleton grilled cheese for lunch, & tomato soup with sour cream spider webs & witches hat toasted tortillas.

One fall event you can’t miss:

The Hunter’s Moon! With a house full of tiny space enthusiasts our life revolves around checking weather along with outer space activities & pulling the telescope up into the tree house for optimal viewing!

Bought or homemade kids Halloween costumes:

HOMEMADE!! Although this year, we’re breaking tradition because, well, I’m just tired.

Jenny
Jenny is originally from Kenner, LA, and considers herself a New Orleans girl at heart. She moved to Pineville in 2004 to attend college where she met her funny and always entertaining husband Brandon. Together they relocated to Baton Rouge almost 10 years ago and married in 2008. They added their joyful daughter Salem to the crew in April 2014, blue-eyed son Declan in July 2015, and baby Liesel in 2019 and now live in Zachary. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication/Journalism from LSU and has previously done some freelance writing. She now works full-time for the State of Louisiana. She and her family enjoy spending time together, making each other laugh and being a part of their church community. She loves wandering around Target, drinking coffee, watching HGTV, having people over and making any kind of craft.
