Favorite Fall Beverages

When the humidity drops below 80% and the temps don’t go above 80 degrees, we all know what that means...it’s Fall in the South. Despite corporations selling pumpkin-flavored everything starting in August, I like to wait until at least that first cool day to indulge in the warm fall beverages. Here are a few of my favorites.  For the Family Hot Chocolate & Peanut Butter: I love a good hot chocolate, but my recent favorite is a dark or double chocolate mix made with vanilla almond milk then I stir in a spoonful of peanut butter. The hot milk melts the peanut butter for a wonderfully decadent drink. I like the Good & Gather double chocolate-flavored hot cocoa mix. For a...
First off, let me say that I feel so “boujee” for having a housekeeper. I usually don’t tell anyone about her. I’m slightly embarrassed that I cannot handle it all. We changed our budget to be able to afford it and I will happily not go out to eat as often to keep her! I am a momma of four little ones, 6 years old and younger. Life is chaotic, to say the least. Have you ever driven down Bluebonnet Boulevard all the way until it ends? Bluebonnet turns into Coursey then George O'Neal and at the very end of an unassuming road is, in my opinion, a little tiny slice of Heaven on Earth. Here you will find the home of the Cypress Springs Mercedarian Prayer Center. More famously, here is the home of Sister Dulce, our local healing nun. Who is Sister Dulce? Sister Dulce is a well sought out nun and healer. From near and far, people travel to the prayer center for hope, healing, and to find peace during times of great turmoil. The mission of Cypress Springs reads as follows: To offer a place of healing and evangelization where God's...
