The first time I thought about suicide, I was in 7th grade. At the time, I had transitioned to a new school and didn’t have any friends. 7th grade is a tough year. As an aside, moms, check on your 7th graders. They are not ok. There’s no nice way to say it, but 7th graders are a$$holes. I dealt with my fair share of bullying and cried at home nearly everyday. I didn’t really understand suicide at that age, but  remember praying I would die. I needed an escape, and each day felt hopeless. The second time I thought about suicide was in high school. The bullying I endured in middle school taught me that you can do two...
Sung to the tune of "My Favorite Things" by Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music Night sweats that soak sheets and boobs that are drooping Sitting on donuts and fear of first pooping Anxiety, depression and all that it brings These are a few of my postpartum things Hourly feedings and lack of sleep madness Hair loss with bald spots and tummy flab sadness Sore, cracking nipples and peeing that stings These are a few of my postpartum things Checking all night long to see if she's breathin' Uncontrolled crying for no apparent reason Panicking each time the loud doorbell rings These are a few of my postpartum things When the babe cries And my boobs leak When I'm feeling sad I simply remember this sweet little thing And then I don't feel so bad

Obviously, no one wants to be in that scenario, which is why I highly recommend putting an "emergency kit" in the car with essentials for just in case. We are expecting a new baby any day now, and I also have two...
I found out I was pregnant with my second baby on my first baby’s 6th birthday. I decided that I would be more of a minimalist this time around and not buy all of the fancy baby items that I don’t really need. I’m a researcher by nature, and when I realized how many cool new items had been invented in the last 6 years, my impulse control went out the window. I don’t mind investing in items that I think will make my life easier, and some of these are definitely on the pricier side. But if you're willing and able to spend a little more, these items are great! For Diapering Baby Bum Brush Why I Love It: Let’s...
