Let me start by saying that I am not a crafty person. When I was working, my kids would bring home all sorts of nifty crafts from daycare and I would think to myself that I could not imagine trying to do that with a three year old. Well. Fast forward a year and I'm now a stay-at-home mom (that's another post for another day) with three kids ages four and under. I like to go out and do things but right now, it's just hard to go do with a baby who nurses every two hours. So instead, I've been trying to fill some of our time with cheap and easy crafts. All of these I found on Pinterest...
Disclosure :: This post is sponsored by Party Time of Baton Rouge.  Ten Themes to Make Halloween Trunk or Treat and Trailer Decorating Easy Baton Rouge is a “go big or go home” city (as evidenced by LSU tailgating), and Halloween is no exception. While trick-or-treating in the local neighborhoods you might see Halloween caravans, where neighborhood parents decorate an open trailer, fill it with bales of hay, and load it up with costumed kids to deliver them to friendly neighbors’ doors. Then there’s the ever-popular trunk-or-treating! This is where moms, families, businesses, and more back their cars, trucks, and trailers into parking lots and decorate them in super fun themes. Children go from trunk-to-trunk for their tricks-and-treats in a safe,...
Fall, is that you?  Or is it summer hiding behind that large pumpkin? It may not feel like fall just yet, but the season is upon us. My favorite season of them all; I see pumpkin spice lattes, multiple viewings of Hocus Pocus, scary / silly decorations and trick or treating in my future. I LOVE FALL!! Now if I could only get the leaves to change and a slight breeze below 93 degrees and Louisiana would be on a roll. So this fall loving, slightly obsessed mama is making a bucket list for the season, with things to do around South Louisiana. First things First: Brew at the Zoo or St. John & St. Theresa School Fair The first weekend of October brings...

3 Easy Halloween Crafts

I was not always a huge fan of Halloween. Honestly, it wasn't until having kids that my love for Halloween grew. Now my house takes on a fun and spooky appearance starting early October with fake spider webs and those carved pumpkins that hopefully make it to Halloween night. Thank you Louisiana weather for those molded-to-soon crooked smiled pumpkins. Crafting on the other hand has always been on my list of favorites. I LOVE TO CRAFT. So when my love for Halloween grew, so did those fun Halloween craft ideas! I have 3 super easy and fun Halloween crafts that you can actually do without going to the store. Say what?! Yep, these 3 craft projects can literally been done...
Why do people think that trick or treating for teens is wrong? I recently read that a town in Virginia is charging teens with a MISDEMEANOR and charging a fine of at least $25 for any child over the age 12 that is caught trick or treating. WHAT?!? As a mom of a teenager, I will encourage my son to come trick or treating with us. Why? Let us use our imagination on where else our teenagers could be or what else they could be doing! They could be sitting in front of the TV playing video games ... I'd rather to have them walking around the neighborhood and having some human interaction.  They could be "hanging out with friends" and doing...
