The truth is I decided now was a good time to blog because I have mountains of laundry screaming for my attention. Well, I despise doing laundry. I mean I do not enjoy one moment of sorting, folding, and putting clothes away. And I need a mental health day just to mate socks. I am pretty sure that the clothes in my house get up and "Second Line" their way into my laundry room.
And as if we don't accumulate enough dirty laundry of our own, my son throws EVERYTHING in the laundry room. Put on a shirt to see if it matches his pants... throws it in the laundry. Sees neatly folded clothes in a pile waiting to be...
Do you ever work yourself into a tizzy attempting to take care of everything around the house on some self-imposed, arbitrary deadline?
You know, trying to do all of the laundry – washed, dried, folded and put away - all in a matter of hours? Or when you just HAVE to reorganize the pantry after you get the kids to bed? What?! Why?! Do you tell your kids you can’t play with them or can only read 3 books instead of 5 because you just HAVE to get the kitchen cleaned and a load of laundry done before you go to bed?
Not A Nice Mama
I have certain expectations of myself when it comes to housekeeping that can actually ramp up...

I imagined chasing them around the yard and helping cultivate my garden. My husband saw it in my eyes. He knew, we were about to be a chicken family. We picked my daughter up from school and back we went, four chickens were now part of the Andrus nest.
Now before you all get, "THINK THIS THROUGH!" Know this, I had been thinking about it. I knew the benefits of having a garden, livestock, and more. Ultimately creating a little homestead...
How does one get in the fall spirit when the average degree across North America is 95°? I am not sure when the temps will allow us to pull out those cozy sweaters and bundle up around a bonfire but in the meantime, one of my favorite ways get in any season/holiday spirit is styling my tiered tray. Mine just got all dressed up for fall and I can’t wait to share it with you!
Disclaimer: I do not claim to know what I’m doing! I just love home decor and decorating and all that that entails.
These tiered trays popped up on my Pinterest when I was looking for home decor ideas last Christmas. I instantly fell in love with the...
