Here is a simple and perfect recipe, just in time for Lent. This Air Fryer Salmon Bites dish can be on the plate in less than 10 minutes.
Air Fryer Salmon Bites.
I still can’t believe that Mardi Gras has come to an end. We are now looking forward to Easter and all things spring. This is also the time of the year when some will celebrate Lent. For those who don’t know, Lent is the 6-week period that follows Epiphany Season. It leads up to Easter Sunday. Those who celebrate Lent do not eat red meat on Fridays.
No red meat means you either consume vegetarian or pescatarian meals on Fridays. This Air Fryer Salmon Bites recipe is the perfect addition to your Lent menu. Not only is it under 10 minutes, but it brings all the flavor. Salmon has always been a hit or miss for me. I either really like the dish or it has a too-fishy taste.
Let me tell you, this is the perfect Salmon dish. You can pair it up with steamed rice or veggies. I even approve of this recipe for lunch. I am contemplating trying it again tomorrow in a wrap with shredded lettuce or a coleslaw mix!
I grabbed this salmon from Costco. The price point is great and you can get almost an entire week’s worth for 1 person off of one salmon piece.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb fresh salmon
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Preheat the air fryer to 400. Take the salmon and cut it in bite sizes. Toss the salmon in the seasonings and the olive oil. Place the salmon on parchment paper liner in the air fryer and air fry for ~7 minutes, flipping half way.
I served our air fryer salmon bites with a side of Yum Yum Sauce. Y’all, so easy and good! If you are looking for other Lent recipes that do not include fish, check out this Not Fried Fish post.
