Leave the Dishes

One of my sweet friends invited a group of us over for a playdate. The kids were having a blast in the playroom while the moms sipped coffee and chatted in the living room. You know how it is – new kids in a different environment, and everyone is happy, at least for a bit. Glorious.

We headed to the kitchen to get snacks, and I caught a glimpse of the kitchen sink. There were dishes in it! I couldn’t believe it! I was THRILLED!

So often, I feel so much pressure to have a perfect home before I have someone over, or post a picture. We had such an easy, enjoyable time, and I left feeling so refreshed. So Mommas, leave the dishes, forget the laundry, and get your friends over there to refresh your soul.
