Here to share the way I've been serving snacks to my kids the past few months, how it works, why we love it, why you should do it too, and a bunch of snack ideas. My kids love to snack, as any kid their age. So when I saw the muffin tin snack tray idea floating on social media, I ran with it! You mean to tell me I can add fruits and veggies to a muffin tin, call it a snack, and my kids actually eat it without being threatened?! #momwin Here’s another win- these tins don’t have to be just snack trays! I’ve used them for every other meal of the day too, and my kids loved it! Imagine Oprah’s...
In our home, with three little ones running around, I know one of the only times to have more than 5 minutes of quiet time is if I turn on the magical black screen. My kids love to watch Disney+ movies, but at times, mom guilt sneaks in for using screen time as a babysitter and I want them to watch something educational to drown out the guilt. I know, I know...this is a whole topic but that isn’t what I’m here for today. While screen time is a controversial topic these days, it can be a much-needed break for busy moms. TV doesn’t always have to be so negative. There are a ton of educational Netflix shows. Scrolling through...
Let's face it, vacations are supposed to be fun. Vacation...
Remember that post I wrote about our family being board game fiends? Well, my eight year old decided to take that obsession a step further. Blame quarantine, or all those "summer vibes" but she took it upon herself to create her very own board game--from scratch! She even found an old Amazon box to store the board & pieces in. She was fully dedicated, collecting her colored pencils, blank paper, scissors, and of course our collection of Gogo SqueeZ lids the kids are always collecting to "make something". I offered to help in any capacity she may need, which was met with a look of, "Nah, but thanks. I got this!" I wish I had had the foresight to sneak...
Picture this: you are in a restaurant with your family having a lovely time when your child begins to have a meltdown because the food is taking too long. They’re..…bored. Or, say you are in the waiting room at the doctor’s office and your child begins to get antsy. You are on a road trip that is just a minute longer than the normal commute and cue the meltdown because, again, bored. Any of these scenarios sound familiar to you? All these scenarios are missing one thing- a busy bag. A quiet/busy bag has been given many names, terms, and definitions but essentially it is a bag filled with items that can entertain your child in a quieter environment. I am...
