Finding time to yourself when you are a stay at home mom can be very difficult. Your world revolves around your tiny humans and it’s hard to get away. As a very extroverted mother, I was fine with my lack of quiet time until very recently. Now, in order to keep my sanity, I need time to myself. I have to get pretty creative since my husband’s job isn’t very traditional and he isn’t always available to help. So I’ve composed a list of things I do to get my “me” time quota. It’s long, it’s hard, it requires immense emotional and physical investment, but it is all so worth it- I promise. I realized that with Declan’s first birthday just recently passing, I finally reached my nursing goal! It only took three tries but I finally made it to one year of exclusively breast feeding.
